At Precision Contracting, we’ve been committed to meeting or exceeding the highest standards in customer service and workmanship since 2005. And that still continues today. Precision Contracting hasn’t gone anywhere — we’re just using a different name.

To meet the demand for true design-build services in Brockville and along the eastern seaway, we’re proud to announce we’ve merged with Amsted Design-Build, a company well-known in Ottawa for quality design and build services, renovations and custom homes.

Lindsay Haley, founder of Precision Contracting, and Steve Barkhouse, founder of Amsted Design-Build have a mutual respect and admiration for each other that goes back over a decade. They realized over the years that each had built organizations in neighbouring cities that were almost mirror images of one another — with similar core values, an excellent reputation, a dedication for high-quality construction, and integrity in everything they do.

We’ll continue to provide superior customer service and a finished project that exceeds your expectations. Our experienced local team of talented staff is still here, but now we offer an enhanced one-stop solution for homeowners looking to renovate or build a new home. With an in-house team of design professionals and construction experts working together, we have a more seamless process that delivers industry-leading results that saves time and money.

History

Established in 2005, Precision Contracting founder Lindsay Haley had a vision to provide clients with the highest customer service, excellent workmanship and an unwavering commitment to deliver the highest quality projects to completion. Over almost two decades, we’ve built a team of renovation and custom building experts with a desire to stay ahead of the curve in industry practices. With the combination of our experience and knowledge, we strove to be industry leaders in Brockville and Eastern Ontario.

Now, we team up with Amsted Design-Build to provide an enhanced service offering to all of our customers.

Amsted has the qualifications, the abilities and, most importantly, the commitment to provide the utmost personalized service — because adding comfort and value to your home is the service they’ve been trusted to provide for 30 years.

Associations

Ottawa Board of Trade is an advocacy group that works for collaborative and sustainable community growth/ prosperity. It accomplishes this by building support for local businesses as they launch, pivot or grow and driving initiatives to remove barriers  saving costs and uniting local businesses. The Ottawa Board of Trade is a champion of the city of Ottawa as a great place to live, work and invest.

NextLevel is Canada’s most comprehensive support organization for renovators. It is a peer group program where contractors from non-competing markets have the opportunity to discuss challenges on the road to success, helping each other by sharing ideas, solutions and encouragement.

In keeping with Amsted’s core values, members are required to exhibit the highest ethical principles in their business, while delivering value to all stakeholders, including employees, clients, trade contractors and the community.

Amsted is one of only a select few Ottawa renovators qualified to display the Renomark Renovators Mark of Excellence. Members of this unique program are committed to raising the level of professionalism in the building industry, and have agreed to adhere to a higher standard of quality and performance for renovations and remodelling projects. The Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association (GOHBA) is a residential construction industry association that represents home building and renovation specialists in the Greater Ottawa area, and whose primary goal is quality housing for Canadians.

Amsted is an active member in GOHBA and is proud to have been received numerous design awards from the organization. Most notably, we have been named the association’s Renovator of the Year for an industry-leading seven times since its inception in 2008, and won Green Renovation of the Year for three consecutive years. Company founder and President Steve Barkhouse, and his father, Fred Barkhouse, are both past presidents of GOHBA.

The Better Business Bureau is dedicated to fostering honest and responsive relationships between businesses and consumers, instilling consumer confidence and advancing a trustworthy marketplace for all.

Amsted is proud to be a member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau. We continue to achieve an A+ status, and Amsted has once again been named an Honour Roll Accredited Business.
